Last spring break I spent the week in Cancun with four of my best girlfriends. While there I met a really cool guy and we ended up having unprotected sex. He seemed really clean cut and healthy and since I was on the pill I didn't think anything of it at the time. A few weeks later I got these funny bumps near my crotch. At the clinic I learned that I had gotten warts. I told the nurse about my fling in Mexico but was confused because the guy didn't have any warts. She told me that up to 1/4 of the population carries the virus but some people don't show symptoms. Anyway, the doctor had to burn the warts off, which took care of them for a while. But I have to get checked all the time now because they can come back and have even been linked with cancer. Take my advice girls and use condoms every time you have sex.

I had been dating this guy for a few weeks when we decided to have sex for the first time. Since he had been recently tested and I had only had sex with one other person we decided to not use condoms. The next day I tried to call him but he didn't pick up. After a few days of avoiding my calls I went over to his house and he told me that it hurt like hell whenever he went to the bathroom. He went to the doctor the next day and found out I had given him gonorrhea. I found out later that my first sex partner had cheated on me and given it to me, but that I showed no symptoms because I was a girl. Anyway, I felt extremely bad that I had given my new guy gonorrhea but he didn't care. He eventually licked it with pills but we never saw each other again.

After a while I began to notice little sores around my vagina. I was scared so I went to the doctor. He diagnosed my cold sores as herpes. When I told him I was a virgin he said that the most likely cause was my boyfriends oral sex. It turns out that my boyfriend has been getting cold sores on and off ever since he broke up with his ex about 2 years ago. I never thought I could get a STD through oral sex but now I know that you can. What's worse is that it will never go away.
